Just want to let you know I just made Kale (covos) soup using your seasoning. I tweaked the recipe a bit. My nephew absolutely raved about it. I received the seasoning mix last Friday and made it today (Wednesday). Luckily I had a some of the ingredients on hand and only had to shop for a few. I don’t cook as often as I should, but like to surprise my wife when she has to go into the office. The prep was relatively simple the only alteration to the recipe (and I alway alter a recipe, I can’t help myself) was I substituted two cups of water for two cups of beef stock. This was like the “crack” of soups! Even my wife and son LOVED it and they’ve endured quite a few of my creations. I will most definitely be reordering this seasoning mix. Thank you Portuguese Panty!
I was trying to copy the soup my made us as kids that we affectionately called "swamp soup". This packet seemed like the easiest way to get there. Fire up the crock pot, add water, seasoning packet, cut up cabbage, couple of potatoes and fresh kale, dump a can a beans, and slice up some spicy chourico. Don't tell mom, but this was the best kale soup I have ever had! Delicious and super easy.
